Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using Chat GPT application technology media on the grammar learning process, especially simple present tense material, for class VIII students at MTs Ma'ariful Ulum Palembang. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest model. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests, with the research subjects being class VIII.C students. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score, from 56.47 in the pretest to 79.56 in the posttest. In conclusion, the use of Chat GPT application technology media has a positive effect on grammar learning, especially simple present tense material, for class VIII students at MTs Ma'arifulUlum Palembang.
