Abstract
This research aims to determine and describe the application of Canva to improve the ability to write observation report text (LHO) through a project learning model for class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Menang. This research is included in classroom action research (PTK) with research subjects of 36 students. Data collection methods use test, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques use quantitative methods to observe student performance and assess work results in the form of observation report text. The research results show that the use of Canva media and the project learning model can improve the quality of learning to write observation report texts, seen from changes in students' attitudes in several aspects. Teacher activities in cycle I with a total score percentage obtained of 84% increased to 88% in cycle II. Meanwhile, student activity in cycle I with a percentage of the total score obtained was 60.6% and increased in cycle II to 80.5%. The total score for skills in writing report texts resulting from student observations in cycle I was 2293 or the average score for classical students was 63.70 with a completion percentage of 36%. In cycle II, the total score for drama text writing skills increased by 3099 or the classical average score was 86.10 with a completion percentage reaching 100%.
