Abstract

This research aimed at knowing and describing the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in English language learning and its impact on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMAS Bina Mandiri during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a qualitative method, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicated that the English teacher successfully applied the Merdeka Curriculum, with clear planning, student assessments, and evaluations tailored to students' needs. The teacher used various teaching strategies, including project-based learning and the integration of technology such as videos and social media. These methods made the lessons more engaging and helped students better understand the material. Many students became more active, creative, and motivated during the lessons. Although there were challenges, such as limited facilities and unequal digital literacy among students, the school and the teacher were able to overcome these issues. In conclusion, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum successfully improved students' learning outcomes and created a more enjoyable and student-centered learning environment.
