Abstract

Belanting River Tubing in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency that the area has uniqueness and distinctiveness when viewed from its natural resources is very beautiful and has the opportunity to attract tourists, but the enthusiasm of local people and outside the area is less interested, seen from the visit data when researchers interviewed local area managers. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of government and tourist perceptions of sports tourism in Belanting River Tubing Ogan Komering Ulu. The method used by this study is to use a qualitative descriptive method. Secondary data in this study through documents, namely data archives owned by the head of Karang Taruna Mendingin Village, Managers, Supervisors, communities directly involved, and other documents that can provide information about the Pelanting River Tubing area in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The data collection technique used in this study is evaluation, namely, it can be done with observation guidelines (observations), interviews (interviews), documentation and a combination of the three. Based on the results of observations, documentation and interviews with various related parties, the role of government and tourist perceptions of sports tourism in Belanting River Tubing Ogan Komering Ulu. Based on the overall results in the role of government and tourist perceptions of sports tourism in Belanting River Tubing Ogan Komering Ulu. The overall meaning in this study is the role of government and tourist perceptions of sports tourism in Belanting River Tubing Ogan Komering Ulu can be seen in the appendix table. From the explanation of the data obtained regarding the role of government and tourist perceptions of sports tourism in Belanting River Tubing Ogan Komering Ulu from this factor, the overall percentage of 58.6% is categorized as quite high.
