Abstract

This Study aimed at determining: (1) the influence of Cue cards strategies;(2) the influence of reading comprehension ; and (3) the influence both cue cards strategies and reading comprehension towards the students at junior high school 3 Palembang. This study was a qualitative study using factorial disegn method. The respondents were 150 students at junior high school 3 Palembang. Data collection technique used in this study were questioners and documentation. Validation test utilized in this study were construct validity and content validity, while the reliability test ultilized in this study was Cronbach’s Alpha. Normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test had been conducted before data were analyzed using simple and technique. The findings showed that (1) There is significant influence of language learning strategies on students’ reading achievement of at junior high school 3 Palembang value of 0.582 ; (2) There is significant influence of reading comprehension on students’ reading achievement of English study program at junior high school 3 Palembang value of 0.029 ;(3) There is significant influence of cue cards strategies and reading comprehension simultaneously on students’ reading achievement of English study program at junior high school 3 Palembang value of 0.082 there is simultaneous influence between cue cardsstrategies and reading comprehensionwith learning motivation.
