Abstract

The Problem In This Study Is That The Lack Of Motivation Of Students In Participating In PE Learning Is Not The Fault Of The Students Entirely. The Main Purpose Of This Study Is To Determine What Factors Affect The Motivation Of Class VIII Students In Learning PE At SMP Negeri 12 Palembang In 2016. The Method In This Research Is Descriptive Qualitative With Survey. The Population In This Study Totalled 219 People. Random Sampling Technique Totalling 35 People. Data Collection Techniques Using Questionnaire And Documentation Methods. Data Analysis Techniques With Percentages. The Results Of The Study Based On The Percentage Of Likert Scale Gradations, Namely Agreeing In This Case The Intrinsic Factor With The Questionnaire Answer With A Percentage Of 82.2% While The Extrinsic Factor Is 80.4%, Meaning That The Instrinsic Factor That Affects Student Learning Motivation So That It Can Be Said That Factors From Within The School Environment Make Students Motivated In Learning Pe At Smp Negeri 12 Palembang. This Is Inseparable From The Role Of The Pe Teacher, Especially Sports Activities During School Hours. In Other Words, Students In Public Junior High School 12 Palembang Prefer Direct Practical Learning Rather Than Just Memorising And Recording Pe Lesson Material, Meaning That This Success Depends On The Teacher's Efforts To Arouse Student Learning Motivation. In Accordance With The Results Of The Study, The Authors Suggest To: 1). Students Can Really Take Advantage Of Paying Attention To Pe Learning Well As A Form Of Supporting Achievements Outside Of Class Hours, Especially Achievements In The Field Of Pe. 2). To Teachers In The Field Of Study, Especially Pe Teachers, Are Expected To Be More Creative And Strive For Learning That Is More Fun And Not Monotonous. 3). To Similar Researchers, It Is Hoped That This Thesis Can Be A Reference For The Betterment Of Learning, Especially Pe. Key Words: Student Motivation, Pe Learning
