Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) in enhancing speaking skill English Foreign Language (EFL) skills at SMPN 45 Palembang. This research method uses a pre-experimental design with one single group, where all students from the same class apply the MALL method. The method used in this research is quantitative with data collection techniques through pre-test and post-test with a oral test in one class of students at SMP Negeri 45 Palembang. The results of statistical analysis and collecting the data show an enhancing in English language skills after implementing MALL with the average pre-test score (61,69) and the average sore post test (79,3). These findings confirm that MALL is an effective tool for improving students' speaking skills in English Foreign Language (EFL).
