Abstract

This study aims to develop a more engaging English learning student worksheets. Previously, the student worksheets were just plain black-and-white paper handouts filled with questions, which many found monotonous. To address this, a new worksheet was designed, which is called as gamification-based worksheets, supported by the interactive quiz app Kahoot. This is a development study based on the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A descriptive quantitative approach was used to assess the results. The developed worksheet received a validation score of 95.3% from three expert validator, and a practicality score of 69.4% based on student feedback. These results indicate that the development of student worksheet gamification-based is both valid and reasonably practical used in classroom learning, especially in present continuous tense.
