Abstract

This study examines the impact of utilizing QuillBot, AI-based paraphrasing tool, on the writing achievement of eleventh-grade students at PGRI 2 Senior High School Palembang. The research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design, involving a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group used Quillbot during the writing process, while the control group followed traditional writing methods without technological assistance. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, and analyzed using statistical methods to determine any significant differences in students' writing performance. The results indicate that students who utilized Quillbot showed a noticeable improvement in aspects such as grammar, vocabulary usage, sentence structure, and coherence. These findings suggest that integrating AI tools like Quillbot in writing instruction can enhance students’ writing abilities and support language learning in educational settings.
