Abstract
This study examined the application of the brainstorming method in teaching writing skills to senior high school students. The research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of brainstorming in improved students' creativity, idea generation, and writing performance. A mixed-method approach was employed, involving a sample group of students who participated in brainstorming sessions prior to completing writing tasks. Data were collected through observations, written assignments, and questionnaires. The findings revealed that the brainstorming method significantly enhanced students' ability to organize ideas, construct cohesive arguments, and express their thoughts more clearly. Furthermore, students reported feeling more confident and motivated during writing activities. The study concluded that the brainstorming method was an effective tool for teaching writing skills in senior high school contexts.
